The material and clothing shows a variety of technology in various civilizations during different times. Not only the availability of clothing and fashion technology but the variety, distribution of clothing or textile among the societies also reveals the social costume and culture. Wearing clothes is an exclusively human characteristic and is a feature of most human societies. Men and women started wearing clothes at the end of the last ice age. And the Anthropologists believe that they started wearing animal skin as protection from cold, heat and rain, especially those who have migrated to a new climate with the change of place. The development of clothing and its manufacturing is prehistoric and has been studied since the late 20th century. Until then, the study of textile manufacture was not taken up as a field of study as it was not famous among the public. Sources provide us the evidence of the usage of clothing in ancient times. The history of mankind using clothes dates back to approximately 100,000 to 500,000 years ago. The evidence of the presence of clothing in ancient times was discovered by the fossils of body lice, which are only found on clothes and fabrics. The presence of body louse shows the use of clothing in approximately 170,000 years ago. The body louse is different from the head louse, head louse are found on the head of the humans and the body louse is found on the clothes or fabric. The information about the ancient textile has increased and reached the most in the past because of the technological development in recent times. As history shows the first-ever textile was the skin stitched together. In the same way, the first-ever textile methods found in South America were found in the Guitarrero cave in Peru. It was woven out by vegetable fibers which are dated back to 8,000 BCE. Just like South America, the other first traces of textile and clothing methods have been found in Israel. Israeli textile and clothing history dates back to nearly 6500 BC. Just like the other countries, India has its own history in textiles and clothing. The records of the excavation of Indus Valley Civilization's sites show the fossils of twisted cotton threads in the context of connecting cords which was considered to be the bead necklace. With the cotton thread, there was a leftover fossil of a male figure who is wearing a turban. Later, the figure of a priest-king was found and considered to be from the site of Mohenjo-Daro(1). It dated back to the 19th century where the king can be seen wearing a shawl with flower print on it in the 19th century. This is conceded to be the only sculpture so far which shows the presence of clothing. In ancient Egypt, the remains of linen were found during the excavation process. It shows the presence of clothing in ancient Egypt. After a few years of digging into the matter, the remains from the Neolithic period which dated from C.5500 BC show the cultivation of the local flax. It was probably the most important fiber source from the Levant which is dated back to C.6000 BC. This comprises other blast fiber including Rush, Reeds, and palm which gave food as well as fiber for fabric, which were then used in making rope and other textiles. The evidence for wool production in Egypt was something of great interest. The major clothing techniques were spinning, drop spindle, hand-to-hand spinning, and rolling on the high. The Egyptians also used yarn in the production of clothes. Later, linen bandages were used in the burial customs of Egypt. The remains of the bandages provide us with the presence of linen in Egyptian civilization. Silk is used all over the world to create a lot of things including fashion but it is conceded to have originated in China. Ancient China shows the earliest evidence of silk production in the world. The evidence of silk in China was found at the sites of Yangzhou culture, where they used cocoons for the silk. Cocoon of Bombyx Mori was domesticated for work. They were cut in half with a knife to get the silk and are dated from 3000 to 5000 BC. The remains of primitive looms were also seen from the site of Hemudu culture, which was a part of Yuyao Zhejiang which dated back about 4000 BC. The remains of silk were found in the Liengzhu culture sites. It is a part of the Qianshanyang Huzhou sites. Then comes the Shang dynasty which is dated back to C. 1600- C. 1046. This changed the entire clothing culture with the proofs of ankle-length skirts with a splash that was made from the Shang worm.
